1. Introduction

Zodica, operated by Beistand Tech ("we", "us", "the app"), is a personal astrology companion for iOS, Android, and web. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Zodica you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we process the credentials and identifiers you provide through our authentication provider (Firebase Authentication): your email address, and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the basic profile identifier those services return. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may relay a private email address rather than your real one.

Birth and chart details

To compute your chart and readings, Zodica stores the birth details you enter — date of birth, birth time (optional), and birth place/country (optional). For compatibility readings, you may also enter another person's birth details. This information is stored against your account in Cloud Firestore.

Usage and diagnostics

We collect product analytics such as screens viewed and feature usage, and crash and error diagnostics such as device model, OS version, and error reports. We also use security checks to verify that requests come from a genuine instance of the app.

Purchases

If you subscribe to Zodica Plus, the purchase is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive a purchase receipt/token which our servers validate to record your subscription status. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.

3. How we use your information

To create and secure your account and authenticate you.
To compute your horoscopes, natal chart, and compatibility readings.
To power the Ask Zodica AI feature (see section 5).
To process and validate subscriptions and unlock paid features.
To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve the app.
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Most astrology calculations run on your device; we do not need your data on our servers to generate the core readings.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that operate the app on our behalf:

Google Firebase — authentication, database (Firestore), analytics, crash reporting, app attestation, and cloud functions.
AI service providers — process Ask Zodica messages to generate responses for the in-app AI feature.
Apple App Store / Google Play — process subscription payments.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.

5. Ask Zodica (AI feature)

Zodica includes an AI-powered feature ("Ask Zodica") that helps generate personalized responses to improve your experience in the app. When you use it, your messages and relevant context from your chart are processed to produce a reply. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information in chat. AI responses are provided for entertainment and reflection and may be inaccurate.

6. Data retention

We retain your account and chart data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize the associated personal data, except where we must retain it to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can edit your birth details in the app, and you can request account deletion by contacting us. To exercise any of these rights, reach us at the address in section 11.

8. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with our cloud provider's security controls. Firestore security rules restrict access so that each account can read and write only its own data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Age requirement & children

Zodica is intended only for users aged 18 and older. The app is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
